Paul Otis Bio:
Over the past sixteen years, Paul has worked as a teacher and administrator at Lake Tahoe Preparatory School. Paul has a passion for providing students with inquisitive experiences that allow them to experience science first-hand. As an avid rock climber, trail runner and skier, he enjoys exercising in the outdoors and sharing his love of outdoor sports with students. Paul lives off-campus with his wife, Julie, their son Aaron and daughter Amy.

Lake Tahoe Preparatory School represents the new era of boarding education. They bring a hybrid approach to the adolescent journey that offers a comprehensive suite of emotional and academic support without compromising a robust college prep curriculum. After graduating from Williams College, Brett worked in sports marketing for several years and then made the switch to independent schools, most recently as a member of the admissions office at the Ethel Walker School. She joined EA in 2015 and oversees all admissions and enrollment management searches. In addition to placement work, Brett also manages EA’s college recruiting efforts.
Brett graduated from The Peck School (in Morristown, NJ) and The Lawrenceville School and now lives in Norwalk, CT with her husband and their two year old daughter (and their dog and cat).

Katie was raised in Reno, graduate of Reno High School. After obtaining a degree in B.S. in Business Administration and Computer Science from the Univ. of Oregon, She worked in the high-tech field in the Bay Area. Later, she returned to Reno and married and raised two boys. She worked in a Civil Engineering Company as a Land Planner before starting at Brookfield School in 1999. Both her sons have graduated, one from UNR and one from UNLV. And now one son, due to Covid challenges has moved back to Reno and is working at Brookfield School becoming the 3rd generation to join the school. Brookfield School is a family owned; women run business. She feels that education is one of the most rewarding professions one can have.
She enjoys sailing on her own ocean going, 46’ sailboat. She sailed in Mexico for 4 years, Alaska in the summer 2108, Canada for 2 years and visited the Islands of Haida Gwaii and Vancouver Island’s west shore in 2017. She saw bears, wolf, orca, whales (right beside the boat!), caught fish, crabs, and prawns and she SCUBA dove off the boat. She also loves to snorkel, ski, hike, Stand up paddle board, camping, geocaching, and sailing.

Peter is responsible for the creation and oversight of EMA's external programs as well as its membership promise. He oversees EMA's marketing and communications, member recruitment and retention, and outreach functions, as well as its leadership training programs, research, and other related strategic initiatives.
With a career spent in product development, sales, relationship development, and marketing, Peter's success has been built on listening to schools' and families' needs. Peter joins EMA from Blackbaud, where he served as a member of the K-12 executive committee and led the business development of its K-12 partner network, working with schools, associations, and other partners to increase the value of Blackbaud products across the entire school community.
Prior to his work at Blackbaud, Peter served as the chief evangelist at WhippleHill, a cloud-based software provider to independent schools, where he developed and implemented the organization's inbound marketing strategy. He is also the founder of edSocialMedia, a community-driven site dedicated to exploring the role of social media in education, and AdmissionsOuest, an online resource connecting independent schools and families via a range of social media-inspired tools.
Peter has also served as the vice president of sales at inResonance, a company that provides data and web solutions for independent schools. Peter has served as a trustee for Wolfeboro, The Summer Boarding School, and participated on the Executive Committee of The Association of Boarding Schools' (TABS) North American Boarding Initiative. He is a graduate of Brewster Academy, Skidmore College (BA), and Tufts University (MAT).

Tracy left the corporate world to pursue her passion for education starting as a public-school math teacher. She rose up the ranks in independent schools and ultimately became the very successful head of Greensboro Day school. One of her philosophies that has continued to bring her success is that she is a relentless communicator and feels that listening is the best way to get to know all those with whom she works, as well as with current and perspective families.

Traci Catlett - Head of School, Greensboro Day School
Tracie Catlett joined the Greensboro Day School community as the first female Head of School in 2019. Her education career spans over 25 years including 11 years in the public school system and 14 years with independent schools. Tracie arrived in Greensboro after serving Louisville Collegiate School in Louisville, Kentucky, most recently as the Associate Head of School. A long time high school math teacher, Tracie’s other roles included Assistant Head of School for Academics, Director of Admission, and Mathematics Department Chair.
Tracie received a BS in Finance from Florida State University and began her first career as a financial analyst with Nations Bank in Miami, and later earned a MAT in Mathematics from the University of Louisville. Tracie is currently a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University researching the rise in stress and anxiety among adolescents at high achieving schools.
Tracie has hit the ground running since arriving at Greensboro Day School. Under her headship to date, the School has completed the Strategic Plan, raised 2.14M in cash donations for an endowment campaign, joined the Global Online Academy, secured a teacher exchange partnership in Arusha, Tanzania, and tackled student well being. Tracie has safely and successfully led GDS through the pandemic- making major safety and infrastructure changes to campus so they could open on time and on campus at full capacity last summer. The school enrolled a record number of new students (215) during the 2020-21 school year.
Pre-COVID Tracie volunteered as a reading buddy at Peck Elementary and recently she joined the board of the National Advisory Board for Authentic Connections and will join MISBO as a new board member this summer.
Tracie and her husband, Mark, reside in Greensboro and have four sons and two dogs. Tracie enjoys traveling with her family, hiking, drinking coffee on the porch, snow skiing, NetFlix binge-watching, and long walks with their dogs.

Cecil Stodghill currently serves as the Head of School at The Doane Stuart School in Rensselaer, NY. Cecil began his career in higher education, serving in various Assistant Director roles in student affairs and athletics at Hendrix College (AR), Florida State University, and University of Miami, Coral Gables.
He transitioned to the independent school world in 1998 where he served respectively as Director of Multicultural Affairs/Assistant Director of Admissions and Assistant Director of Boarding Admissions at McCallie School, his alma mater, in Tennessee. He has also served as Associate Director of Admissions at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida and Director of Graduate Support at Academy Prep Foundation in St. Petersburg, Florida. A National Association of Independent Schools Fellow for Aspiring Heads, Cecil holds a BBA in Marketing from University of Miami, Coral Gables, and an M.Ed. in School Leadership from University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.

Amy Graham is the newly appointed Dean of Enrollment Management at Stevenson School in CA. She will begin her tenure this July.
Currently, Amy is the Director of Enrollment Management at Pomfret School in Pomfret, CT a position she's held since 2016.
Prior to Pomfret, Amy led the admission office at Midland School (CA) from 2011-2016, first as the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, and later, as the Assistant Head of School for Enrollment Management.
Before Midland, Amy held leadership positions in admissions and advancement at The Family School (CA), Dunn School (CA), and The Hill School (PA).
Amy holds a bachelor of science in marketing from the University of Connecticut and a master of city and regional planning from California Polytechnic State University. Amy is a member of the Independent Educational Consultant Association (IECA) Schools Committee and a faculty member of the Enrollment Management Associations, Admissions Training Institute (ATI).

Dan Morrissey, With a leadership style known for asking hard questions, Dan currently serves as the Director of Admission and Financial Aid at Cushing Academy. Dan joined Cushing in 2018 with more than 30 years of experience in independent schools.
He previously served as the Dean of Admissions at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, OH; the Dean of Students at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH; and as the Dean of Residential Life at Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN.
Dan's leadership of Enrollment Management at Western Reserve and Cushing Academy resulted in significant enrollment percentage growth in domestic boarding increases at both institutions. No matter what the role or the school, Dan has always endeavored to enroll and support the most diverse student body while working to retain a diverse faculty and staff.
He is the author of Teaching Clarity, Purpose and Motivation: A Secondary School Advisor’s Handbook (Available on Amazon) and is a frequent speaker at schools and The Association of Boarding Schools on the topic of advising high school students and creating positive parent relations.
